Book Reviews of 1080 RecipesBook Review: 1080 Recipes Summary: 3 Stars
The book "1080 Recipes" is very informative. Being a first generation American of Spanish decent, many recipes were the same as I remember my mother making. I will try to make some of them now that I have a recipe to follow.
Not happy with the condition of the book. Binding loose and book had a stain on it. I ordered and paid for a new book.

Book Review: Great surprise Summary: 4 Stars
I used to have the book in Spanish as I had lived one year in Spain some 16 years ago. After a few years a had forgotten a lot of my Spanish. Now I found that the book was translated! It is a great and beautiful book, I have found my favourite recipes back again. One small drawback: the units aren't in the metric system, so I have some math to do...
Book Review: (English version) Why, oh why? Summary: 4 Stars
I didn't try many of the recipes, but for starters i was particulary curious about one recipe: Orange Marmalade. Why does this book present only the "English version" and why doesn't it present also the original Spanish version. I was interested in authentic spanish cuisine, not "adapted" recipes.
But overall, a wonderful book.
Book Review: Urgent need for another title Summary: 2 Stars
The authors should consider changing the title of this book, at least in the English-language version. "1080" is the common name for sodium monofluoroacetate, a rather inhumane poison that is used for culling populations of herbivorous pests such as rabbits. Not a good look on the cover of a recipe book!
Book Review: Ymmmm! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book as a gift for my daughter. She and I looked through it when she opened the gift, and the recipes looked delicious! There were several that I saw just leafing through, that I will definitely try. My daughter loves the book and plans to buy it for her brother-in-law who is a gourmet cook.
