Book Reviews of 125 Best Cheesecake RecipesBook Review: My New Favorite Cookbook!! Summary: 5 StarsOur family has always loved cheesecake and this new cookbook is so wonderful and so diverse. It reads beautifully and it includes so many new conbinations along with the old ones. I had such success the other night when I served one of your "guilt-free" cheesecakes to our calorie conscious friends. I made the Light Citrus recipe and topped it with fresh rasberries. I followed the recipe and it worked out perfectly. As a matter of fact I used the "variation tip" and substituted the lemon cookies instead of the butter ones. My only addition was was to cover the top with fresh rasberries. We all thought it was the best ever!
Book Review: Good Help for the Hostess Summary: 5 StarsI just bought the book last week and have already tried two recipes for weekend houseguests. I'm not an experienced baker. It is easy to make cheesecake as promised. Blue Cheese Pistachio Cheesecake is a no-bake and no-crust savory recipe that is perfect for entertaining: * delicious with wine or martinis; * can be made a week or so ahead of time; * freezes well. Austrian Cheesecake is a dessert made with cottage cheese and is rich, but not super sweet. The whipped cream frosting made it look very professional and was surprisingly easy to do. The recipe calls for raisins which I skipped, but I think it would be good with any fruit, fresh or dried. I will try Swiss Alps Cheesecake next, another savory recipe, to take to a meeting where it is my turn to bring the snacks.
