Book Review: It's Now or Never

Can't you just see Jack singing to Olivia these words outside her window " It's now or never, Come hold me tight Kiss me my darling, Be mine tonight Tomorrow will be too late, It's now or never My love won't wait. When I first saw you With your smile so tender My heart was captured, My soul surrendered I'd spend a lifetime Waiting or the right time Now that your near The time is here at last." I can't picture Jack looking like Elvis. I can picture Jack standing outside Olivia's window singing this song.
Actually this book should have been subtitled "It's now or never". At least five couples can't get their act together. Jack and Olivia, Grace and Cliff, Maryellen and Jon, Rosie and Zack, not but least Stan who want's his first wife Olivia back after 16 years because new wife Margie doesn't want him anymore. Another creative divorce is Rosie and Zack's. All that Rosie did as a volunteer made me tired reading. Rosie didn't realize that all the other women were home with their husband and families while Rosie was giving them opportunity. I wanted to shake Rosie. "Wake up girl." I like the idea of the children staying in the house and the parents taking turns then the children having to remember whose house to go to. Then there is crazy Grace who let that wonderful man Cliff out of ther life (I'll take him) and has this online relationship with Olivia's older brother Will who has no class and lied about his marriage that was on the rocks. He just wanted to have an affair. Good thing Grace woke up but it was too late for her and Cliff. I dont' think she will ever get Cliff back. There is also Maryellen and Jon and their daughter Katie. They had a one night stand and then came Kaite. It took most of the book for these two to get their act together. Not to top these other couples there is Stan who thinks he is entitled to his first wife Olivia back just because he has a bigger paycheck than Jack so he makes sure he arives on cue to make it look like Olivia is sleeping with him. Stan is low life. After 16 years of singleness (stayed that way to raise her children) low life Stan wants her back. Thankfully, he will not get his wish in this book. Now Stan is after Grace. Anything to break up Olivia and Jack.
