Book Reviews of 3rd Degree (Women's Murder Club)

Book Review: Quick Fun Read
Summary: 4 Stars

I admit that these are a guilty pleasure. After reading Step on a Crack, I about gave up on Patterson; I thought it was maudlin and that his writing was "lazy"...relying on too many characters he had used in the past. I actually think that having a co-writer makes these stories better. Although certainly not requiring much brain-power, they are just plain fun to read.

Book Review: My favorite of the series!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm reading the entire series and to date, 3rd Degree was the most shocking and also my favorite of the series to this point. I was sad when it ended and within hours had my nose in 4th of July to continue the story. This is for the series of books as a whole, I'm so very glad I picked up that first book. They are all good and there has been no disappointment.

Book Review: Bad sequel
Summary: 2 Stars

I can't believe 3rd Degree was written by the same writer who wrote the previous two books in the Lindsay Boxer series. Like the other two, this was a quick page-turner, and usually that equals a good story, but this read like a detective comic book with one stereotype character after another. I won't even bother with the next installment of this series.

Book Review: I liked it...but the first one is still my favorite (1st to Die)
Summary: 4 Stars

So this is the third one of the series...and for the most part the series is pretty good. This particular book was interesting and it did throw in a surprise. The ending was weak, but leading up to the end was cool. As usual, it was a fast read, with big fonts! Read it, but you'll have to read the first two to really get to know the characters.

Book Review: Extrememly amaturish writing
Summary: 2 Stars

I will not comment on the story, but the quality of the writing is poor. It needs to be edited by a 7th grade English teacher. I recommend that you go to the hardcover version on Amazon and use the "Look Inside" feature to read the first chapter. That will provide an example of the writing style so you can decide for yourself it is readable.
