Book Review: Revitalized 62-Year-Old Retiree
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm 62 and just retired. I had let my body slip for a couple of years. I used to be very active--running, biking, etc. I bought a 3-station machine (25 exercises) two years ago, used it quite a bit, but never felt like I was going anywhere with toning up. Then I saw Pasternak's book and bought it. WOW!!! I'm still working my way through the "preliminary week." I never knew I had so many muscles that were required to do all that workout. I feel great after each 25-minute workout although I do like to extend the last aerobic part beyond the 5-minute period (as he recommends). Another thing: I used to work on the machine for one to two hours at a stretch; I really like the 25-minute timeframe. It's now no big deal to find the time to workout each day as it used to be for me to find one to two hours. I am looking forward to being able to do the five days per week of his workout routine without having to recuperate over a few days. I love this book. It may very well be the best $10-$15 investment I ever made. Thank you Harley.

Book Review: I am in love!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

As an ex-dancer, ex-anorexic, and a student of nutrition, I have done everything and known everything. While living on 1,000 calories a day and working out for 2 hours every day- I thought this plan would make me gain weight.....boy, was I wrong! I could write a novel on how much I love this plan- but I'll spare you. Overall, I am converted for life to this wonderful plan- you can sustain it forever, actually eat, it doesnt provoke those pesky "eating disorder" obsessions or habits, and I get a cheat day to eat my beloved ice cream!
I've done this plan for a month now- and already the muscle tone in my arms, shoulders, and stomach speaks wonders. I actually LOVED being soar, because I knew this plan was working. Best of all, it keeps challening my body- so I continue to be soar in new ways. Book Review: Im really impressed how it can work for every agegroup...

After many tries with all of the diets and programs I have actually begun the workouts for a couple of weeks and I must say I have never been more excited to go back to the gym. The most fascinating thing is that my parents have both read the book and have begun the workouts. I thought "what's new with work" was the highlight of the Sunday dinner conversations but now I find myself discussing the variation of reps and sets that were are going to be doing in the next week of workouts and exchange tips on form for lying dumbell flys. Thank you Harley I can already feel myself become more muscular. This book is truly a gift to share with others. Just like my new beverage of choice that replaced my morning brew. Its called s oyfee and taste so wonderful with no caffeine or acids. Organic and made from soya! Bye bye acid stomach and hello healthy tummy! Google it under "acid free coffee"



Book Review: Great, easy way to get in shape at home.
Summary: 5 Stars

There are so many diets and so many exercise plans out there, it's hard to know whom to believe. Harley Pasternak's book attracted me because he seemed to have a scaled-down, accessible way to get in shape without having to rearrange my whole life. This book is easy to read, and is based on solid science. I have modified the eating plan a bit (no flour bread?), but have been doing the workout for two weeks now (prelim and week 1), and already I can see big changes in my body. My arms are more toned than they've ever been, and my legs and butt are getting into better shape, as well. A great side effect is that the weights have strengthened my hands for playing my guitar. All this in just 30 minutes a day (and I'm still just using 3 and 5 pound weights). I see this as a plan that easily fits into my life, and I recommend it to anyone.

Well, I finished your book this weekend and started your program Monday the 17th, and already I know that this is something I can work with.

As a 45 year old woman who is a long time work out/diet person (everything from the Zone, Atkins, Weight Watchers, all protein, no protein, and on and on), I'm very excited about your program. What I'm particularly excited about is the 25 min. work outs!! As a person that has spent lots of money on personal trainers and hours on workouts, I'm looking forward to the shorter, more intense workouts. I'm already sore all over (in a good way) and I haven't been sore from a work out in over a year!

I'll keep you informed of my progress. Thanks again for the thoughtful book. It's a new year for me.
