I've been applying what I learned from '5-factor fitness' for several months now, & enjoying it very much. Besides seeing improvement in my physique, I also enjoy my leisure games of tennis & squash better, as my game level improved along with my fitness level. I've also recently stopped going to the gym & instead working out at home following the simple & enjoyable routines illustrated in the book. The guidelines in eating is also simple to follow. I now feel passionate to share my experience with friends & family who are keen to find an optimized way to improve their fitness.
Book Review: What's old is new again... Summary: 5 Stars
As a 47 year "young" woman who has always been active and never had a weight problem until I had to go on medication about 3 years ago, I am thrilled to have found Harleys book! 25 minute workout, weight training with good ol'dumbells, and one cheat day a week to eat whatever you want. How great is that! Book is very user-friendly and gets back to the things we all knew about working out but forgot in this high-tech workout world of today. I have just finished a week on the program, I feel incredibly great and I don't have to suck in my tummy to get my jeans zipped!
Book Review: Great Fitness Program Summary: 4 Stars
The exercise portion of this book is very well done. Simple, well explained and easy to adjust to your fitness level.
The food portion, not so great. The recipes mostly contain high sodium foods (canned tomatoes, preserved meats), so if you have chronic high blood pressure (like I do), you will need to figure this part out on your own.
Overall, I think this is a great program.
ADD: After six weeks on this program I lost 6lbs of the 12lbs of fat I want to lose. For me, this has worked as promised in the book. Good Luck!
Book Review: Gets you motivated Summary: 5 Stars
This exercise program is clearly demostrated. For once, I look forward to doing exercises in the morning. They don't take long and you can actually feel their effectiveness from day one. Each day changes routine so you don't fall into a rut. Am not an exercise freak, gyms are hard to get to, so this program worked out fine for at home. Not much equipment to invest in and his eating program was what my doctor had already prescribed. I'll up date in a few months to give feedback and extended benefits of program.
Book Review: This book needs more recipes and the website needs help Summary: 4 Stars
Well, I can tell you that I have been on this program for a while now and have seen a change in my attitude towards exercise and healthy eating. I do wish that he had more recipes in the book as it is hard to follow the plan. At the end of his book he mentions sharing recipes on his website but I see no place to do this. Anyone got any useful recipes?? My weight loss has been wonderful as well as my overall look.
Come on Harley work on that website now for all your motivated fans.
