Book Review: Fantastic book!

I recently purchased this book with the predictably lame excuse "Well, you can never learn enough about deer hunting!" but in all honesty it was because I think so well of the author's writing over the years. I have to say that the book exceeded even my unreasonably high standards!
There really are 500 deer hunting tips, collected by category (stand hunting, tracking, etc.), many of which I had not heard of before. I believe most every hunter will learn a thing or two from this book, and will give it a place of honour among their favourite hunting resource & reference books.
For those of us who like beautiful pictures in our hunting books (I like ambience too) you'll be pleased to hear that I found many pictures...all of them eye-catching and from different eras of deer hunting. Pictures are also strategically placed and captioned to illustrate a point or two made by the author on that particular page.
I read this book through over a weekend, and then read it through twice again in the following weeks. The enjoyment hasn't waned with exposure, so I think you'll find value in this book.
I cannot recommend this book enough!
