Book Reviews of 7th Heaven (Women's Murder Club)

Book Review: Well Worth A Year of Waiting!
Summary: 5 Stars

San Francisco Detective Lindsay Boxer and her friends in the Women's Murder Club join up once again to help solve a case of arsons in a series of wealthy neighborhoods. Several innocent people are murdered and the only evidence left behind is a book with a latin inscription at each of the crime scenes.

At the same time, Lindsay is working on a case of a missing former governor's son. He was last seen entering the house of a known prostitute. A tip is discovered, but ultimately falls through leaving Lindsay, her partner Rich Conklin, and good friend and member of the Women's Murder Club, ADA Yuki Castellano desperately scrambling for more leads.

In true Patterson style, 7th Heaven is full of twists, turns, and surprises.

Book Review: entertaining, provides a little problem-solving exercise
Summary: 4 Stars

Another in Patterson's prodigious output, this novel is part of the Women's Murder Club series. Part of its interest lies in the issues it raises of friends who have professional responsibilities that at times require secrecy from one another. This newest of the series includes all the elements we've grown to expect: murder of the most bizarre and horrific type, scientific explanations and research to aid in finding solutions, romance challengd by job responsibilities, courtroom drama, and the occasional madman. Each of the women characters remains true to form, and that is part of the series' charm; its predictability takes the edge off the horrors the characters face. Perfectly satisfactory light reading.

Summary: 4 Stars

The Women's Murder Club scores another hit with 7th HEAVEN. A fast read in what has become the standard short chapter style, the pages almost turn for you. Lindsay Boxer is torn between two loves, her job and her live in lover. But the job takes precedence when two killers stalk the streets.
Yuki Castellano faces the toughest murder trial of her career without evidence or a body. While Lindsay and her partner Rich Conklin investigate a brutal pair of arsonists.
7th Heaven is any thing but as the beautiful people of San Francisco burn.

Book Review: Terrific read!
Summary: 5 Stars

Lindsey Boxer has two interesting cases in this book. The first one has to do with the disappearance of Michal Campion, the beloved son of a prominent politician, who was last seen going into the house of a prostitute. The other has to do with wealthy couples who are found dead in houses which have been burned. As often happens in mystery novels, the two cases eventually intersect, and evidence from one case leads to the solution of the other. As usual James Patterson weaves the personal lives of the Women's Murder Club with their professional lives and this time he hits all the right notes in producing the best book in the series so far.

Book Review: Not worth the almost $30.00
Summary: 2 Stars

Well....where should I start with this one...Hmmm.

Iam starting to feel that his books are to rushed when he is creating them,I think if he spent more time thinking about what his fans want to read rather than creating something without much thought being put in to the finished product just to make a quick buck.

I also feel he needs to create more interesting characters, I find them all to be very blah and uninteresting.

I would also like to see longer chapters in his books. For the price he charges for his books, its definately not worth the read. Maybe its time he re-evaluate his writing career.
