Book Reviews of A+ Certification for Dummies

Book Review: A well named book
Summary: 1 Stars

I guess the name applies because trying to pass that with this book is pretty stupid. Much of the information presented is incorrect. Also explanations are vague at times as the author probably didn't understand the material himself. An example of this would apply to both cases would be Write Back vs. Write Through caching. They are mutually exclusive alternatives to cache synchronization but the author seems to believe that they are both needed by the processor to store data and addresses and that the cache is split between them. Don't buy this dog, instead treat yourself to a nice dinner.

Book Review: Passed both Hardware & OS with book
Summary: 4 Stars

title says it all. there was several typos & errors but their easy to spot. cost effective. i should mention dont count on this book alone to get good scores, but its certainly enough to pass. i was curious to IT and got this book, read it once, and reviewed for 2 weeks and passed both actual tests.

again dont count on good scores with just this book alone. its your time and money you are spending on the test and investment into this industry.

Book Review: Good start, but not a sole study guide.
Summary: 4 Stars

i used this in conjunction with 2 other books. one of the other 2 was a book filled with sample questions. ultimately i think the sample questions helped the most but this book helps you to understand what you should study and review in order to successfully pass the test.

Book Review: Great Book For Reviewing
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a great book for reviewing for the A++ Cerfitication, It basicly goes over all the items breifly. I don't think it would be a good introduction book for A++ because of the breif overviews of diffrent sections. But the overall structure of the book is great.
