I began this reading journey in the Spring of 2008, Finished the complete work June of 2010. Yes, I can read. :) I just read it very slowly, a little bit nearly every day, and I completed the work-book in about 18 months. Helen Schucman & Bill Thetford and the Foundation for Inner Peace have done it right (just like He wanted it). Gary R. Renard pointed me in the right direction with his Disappearance of the Universe and it was cool to meet Gary in KC. ACIM is a course in Understanding and Forgiveness. "Do you want to be right or at peace?" If you are a "searcher" like me, this is a MUST read, it is like nothing else I know. I am truly on my way. I will not read one star reviews of spiritual teachings ever again. When will those tormented and angry people learn that Truth is packaged differently for all His beloved children? Do we all like broccoli, meat or escargot? Yet, we must find something to feed ourselves. Therefore, nourish your souls with the abundance that God has set before you. Sing loud and joyfully from mountain tops when you discover a delectable feast at the Lord's table, and lovingly support your hungry brothers and sisters who dine with you. After all, does your brother's distaste for avocados change the savor of the fruit in your mouth? Remember, today they may despise avocados and tomorrow be singing with you.

The "jesus" that wrote this book is not the true Jesus of the Bible. Jesus of the Bible Himself warned about "jesus" like this coming to deceive people. Please read Matthew 24 in the Bible. For a better understanding/exposure of what is going on, please read the book "Reinventing Jesus Christ" by Warren B Smith, of the Lighthouse Trail Publishing. It's available free on his web site. You can do a google search for it. I cover myself and all that are working to expose such deceptions as these, with the precious blood of the one and the only true Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. I had this Course about 15 years ago and then I put it aside. Something led me back to it and I am glad that I have started with the text and lessons again.
I do not think I have ever read anything like A Course In Miracles. Some of it seems to be above me, while at the same time, I seem to understand it deeply.
I am not claiming to be a world class expert on what life is all about, but I do know now that there is more to it than the physical and how I see the physical.
Do not buy this book unless you are ready to shake things up!

It's a book that give a great explanations of many important facts of our life. It also provides the daily lessen for audience to practice for perfection for a year. I have read many Buddhism and Christian materials, but there is nothing like this book that truly explain the details and meaning of our universe and our thought and spirit. It's also a book that deeply connect to the ideology of religion like Buddhism and Christianity, furthermore this book has even much advance thought in many ways. Totally recommend!!!!!
