Book Reviews of A Day at El BulliBook Review: The Book for Foodies Summary: 5 Stars
It's hard to talk about the beauty and creativity of this amazing book. It is simply the definitive book on food and restaurants for anyone who considers themselves a connoisseur of food and wine. El Bulli is the Holy Grail of restaurants. If you can't go to Spain, then this book is a must. It is breathtaking in its creativity and beauty. You will be inspired.
Book Review: A great insight to the creative process Summary: 5 Stars
This is less a cookbook, (although it does contain some recipes), as it is a look into the creative process, and day-to-day operations, of one of the top restaurants in the world. If you are seriously interested in a career in the culinary arts, or just have a curiosity about what goes on behind the scenes with one of the world's best chefs, buy this book.
Book Review: Quantity over quality Summary: 2 Stars
The book is huge and heavy, but they're offering quantity over quality. The photos of the food are good; the other photos (surroundings, preparation, service) are generally mediocre. New and interesting insights into the phenomenon that is El Bulli are few. The book's subject may be El Bulli, but the presentation is pure Buca di Beppo.
Book Review: A day at el bulli Summary: 5 Stars
The product came in a perfect condition and really quickly. The book is fantastic: a day in the life of one of the chefs in the world. It starts with some inspirig photographs and then it talks about the whole process of Adrià way of cooking. The story of his restaurant s really amazing.
Book Review: Not worth the money. Summary: 1 Stars
My roommate and I wanted this book for months until we were able to find it. We thought it was a cookbook with the crazy ideas that are the staples of El Buli in it, but it really is just a 'Day at El Buli.' This book is over 400 pages of what they do in an average day at the restaurant.
