Book Review: must read for dog owners
Summary: 5 Stars
Ceasar's approach to dog ownership is so fundamental. Some of his tactics for introducing yourself to a dog can be challenging for a novice (like myself) but should at least be tried to establish the proper hierarchy in your family. While the human is at the top of the top of this heirarchy the dog's position in the family is very respected too. If more dog owners would give their pet's the proper excercise (which is #1 in Ceasar's approach) many dog problems would be avoided. His focus is to keep dogs happy and well adjusted within a family. This should be a must read for any potential dog owner or current dog owner so that fewer dogs end up euthanized or in shelters due to incompatiblilty in their family. I also really respect Ceasar's information about adopting from a shelter or rescue group which is something more people should consider.
