Summary of A Practical Guide for Medical Teachers, 2e

Significant changes have recently occurred in both healthcare delivery and in the context and methods in which medicine is taught and learned. At the same time changes in the content and style of delivery of medical education have made it harder for established clinicians to teach in the style to which they were previously accustomed. The Second Edition of this book attempts to bridge the gap between the theoretical aspects of medical education, and its attendant jargon, and the practical delivery of enthusiastic teaching. It will be of great assistance to clinicians especially, and other healthcare teachers in general, in their understanding of contemporary educational principles and will provide practical help for them in the delivery of the variety of teaching situations which characterise present day curricula.
