I read this book because it was recommended by amazon since I liked (loved) The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. However, this book was not my cup of tea. Although the concept is interesting it ends up reading like a trashy romance novel. And anyone transported through time from 1700s Scotland to present-day NYC would be shell-shocked but Magda is way too calm to be believable.Book Review: Lust transcends time

I love time travel novels and this one sounded interesting; however, the book was so repetitious it could have been shortened by half.
I am willing to accept strange premises for the sake of a good story, but this doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
When finished, I felt I had wasted my time and my money.

All I can say is that this should have been a short story, instead of horribly stretched into a novel. I bought this book based on reviews and my love of time travel stories.
