I have never been to A16 in SF but I have bought 6 copies of this cookbook as gifts and bought one for myself. I love the style and ease of the recipes. Off the beaten track food but not so complicated that you want to throw your hands in the air. I also recommend James Patterson's and Frank Stitt's cookbooks. And Ad Hoc. Bon Appetit!
