Book Review: Great 4 A Beginner

This book is a fantastic start for anyone that wishes to explore the world of Photoshop. I took a course at Oklahoma City Community College last semester and this is the book that we used. We followed the book step-by-step. I could have just bought the book and and stayed at home and saved myself some money. Only buy this book if you are an absolute beginner at Photoshop, though. The book is not very in-depth. It just tells you how to do something, not why you are doing it. Also, I have noticed that the pages aren't binded very well...I had a page or two just fall out of my book.Book Review: Fantastic

I am not new to photoshop, I know a couple of things but I felt that I required some assistance to explore the capabilities of the programmme. This book is well written, simple to understand and very interesting. I recently purchased it and will give my self six days to complete it...It is not often that that persons can traanslate their knowledge in a form that makes in easy to understand. From my previous experiences, I was expecting boring and difficult to understand even if I based my decison on the reviews ...This is a fanatstic book.Book Review: Olympus Stylus 1010 digital camera

I have only had the camera for a short time; however, I am amazed with what it can do. The Super Micro Function allowed me to get within an inch of the subject and still give me a great picture. My only complaint is that the LCD provides a brighter picture than the one actually taken; however, in reviewing the booklet, I see that I can make some alterations in brightness such that what I see may be what I get.
I am extremely happy with this purchase as it provides so much more than cameras of similar value.

If you want to learn Photoshop, this is an excellent buy, especially if you are a beginner. This book will guide you step-by-step on how to use Photoshop. The tutorials are easy to follow and very detailed; the resources for the tutorials are provided by the CD that comes with the book. You will be able to learn how to use Photoshop in just weeks, depending on the time that you invest. After going through the tutorials in this book, I became a highly confident Photoshop user. I found it impossible to unlock the files in Windows. As a result I am unable to save files for use later. The instructions for the manner in which to unlock the files was not clear to me.Which brings up the question, why are the files automatically locked in the Windows format but unlocked in Mac? Perhaps we will never know.
The text is well written, save for the above complaint. If you are wise enough to know the procedure to unlock files, you would greatly benefit from this book.
