Book Reviews of Adobe® Photoshop 7.0 Classroom in a BookBook Review: great book to start with Summary: 4 Stars
I opened this book and the program for the first time at the same time. Having said that I can say that this is a very good book to start off with. If you really want to get in depth, you will have to go elsewhere. At least that is how I see it as a beginner. There were areas that I got stuck on and areas that could have been better but I would still recommend it to anyone just starting out. It teaches you the basics and from there you can go to more complicated books that go more in depth.
Book Review: Easy, Fast and to the Point Summary: 5 Stars
After trying several self-help books on the Adobe Photshop 7.0, including Photoshop 7 for Dummies, a friend recommended this title, which is the official training workbook from Adobe Systems, Inc. The title was being used as a textbook in his college graphic class and he found it to be in logical sequence and with an easy to understand format. If you are a not-every-day user of the program and want to learn specific techniques to enhance or modify your photographs - this book is for you.
Book Review: Broken CD Summary: 1 Stars
The first book I got was good, but the accompanying CD was broken, so I asked the seller to send me another CD. The did send another book with a CD, but unfortunately the second CD was broken, too. I can't use the book without an intact CD, but I don't want to ask for another CD because it could be smashed, too. Somebody could have tried to fold the book and in the process ruined the CD. I'm really in a bind and don't know what to do. Can I have access to the Photoshop 7.0 CD online?
Book Review: Adobe Photoshop: Classroom in a Book Summary: 5 Stars
As a person previously acquainted with only the most basic of Adobe skills, I found this book and cd to be a great introduction to computer graphics. The instructions for the lessons are very clear and the illustrations quite helpful. The lessons give you some idea of the scope of activity available to you and leave you with plenty of room for additional exploration. I love this book and will be using it as a reference for years to come
Book Review: mmmm Summary: 3 Stars
I was expecting a guided class ,instead I found no instructions at all, no exercises to practice on the CD.
I was sitting in front of the photoshop screen with a picture and that's it.
I guess it would be better that the publishers explain somehow that you need a previous knowledge of the program.
It must be good for people who just need to upgrade previous knowledge, but I won reccomend it if you don't have it.
