I found this book interesting but not of much use for a photographer. His exercises were too unrealistic and delved too much into art rather than photography for me. Where he did use real life work, he offered specific settings without sufficient underlying explanation or information to allow me to generalise them into my work.Book Review: Extremely helpful book

I have longed for a book, with tutorials, just like this one. It is chock full of information that is organized well and presented in a way that I, a non-expert, can understand. Deke has long been the #1 Photoshop guru in the world, and I've depending on his sage advice to introduce me to each new version as they are introduced. This one is especially good at showing you how to manage color, which has always been one of my weaknesses. Highly recommended.Book Review: Great Study Material

I am new to Photoshop and very interested in webdesign and Photography. This book helps me a lot in understanding a great deal about Photography and the new Photoshop CS3. I'm pretty new to Photoshop and CS3 extended so I found this book extremely easy to read and with easy directions to follow. The lessons are great and Deke's humour is good. I wish he would write some tecnique type books. I highly recommend this book to newbies to Photoshop.
