Book Review: Algebra 1 Semester 1 for Kindle is recommended

My #2 grandson is taking advanced placement algebra, and I found I didn't remember quite as much of my high school algebra (nor trig) as I thought I did. My GK asked me to get him a TI 84 graphing calculator so I did, and got a TI Nspire for me about the same time, so I could keep up. This book is a good way to learn both the Nspire and algebra at the same time. The book includes a link to their web site for pretty nice applications to use with the Nspire. I tried to learn the Nspire by itself but had forgotten the algebra required, hence this book purchase. I also bought semester 2 and 2nd year semester one, but am only half way through this one so far.
There is a tiny bit of bad news. 1) I bought the CAS version of the Nspire and this book only touches on it. 2) There are more than one version of the non-CAS Nspire and this one assumes you have the right one, so some of the key sequences don't work as advertised. Searching the PDF user's manual for the Nspire takes care of this in most cases. See below.
I also put the manual for the Nspire CAS on my new Kindle DX and I can search for the answers I need for the Nspire. All the items mentioned were purchased from Amazon. I think they may begin to like me soon. (The DX version of the Kindle handles PDF files and a LOT of my manuals are available in that format. My Canon HDTV flash camcorder for instance.) Before I retired a lot of the computer service manuals I used were in PDF fromat. I printed them and lugged them around with me. Where was the Kindle DX then??? :) They would ALL have fit in the Kindle and saved me a TON of gas.
