Book Review: Quirky and sweet
Summary: 5 Stars
I found this at a Barnes & Noble and I read it then and there from cover to cover. The writing is geared more for elementary-aged children, but the pictures and the text, which compares cat behavior to that of a person with AS, is spot-on, if you want to gently introduce your child (AS or neuro-typical) to this unique condition to help them better understand a schoolmate, friend or even themself. It made me smile and I couldn't help inwardly cheering at how well-done this book is!
Speaking as a late-diagnosed person with AS (I'm 31 and was not diagnosed until I was 27), I gladly reccommend this book!
Book Review: I am so excited about this book!

I am so excited about this book because it really is true to life. My son has Asperger's and he loved this book. We went over the symptoms it explains and he was so comfortable with it he allowed me to take it to the family get together when he was not able to go to explain why he doesn't come to our get togethers. I have often asked him if he would like to write a book about his experience with Asperger's and he doesn't think he could do it. (He is a writer too.) This book was just as if he had writen it for himself.

Book Review: Inaccurate

I was ready to purchase this book for my son, however after viewing the preview I opted not to purchase the book because one page says that AS kids like to be near those they love but not touched by them. However, MANY, including my son, AS kids have Sensory Integration Disorder issues which make them crave EXTRA sensory input including but not limited to actions like hugging. This behavior may change as the children mature but such a blanket statement is disturbing, particularly since AS kids are very literal and if I gave this book to my son he would then infer that he does NOT have AS.Book Review: Outstanding

All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome
This book is an outstanding resource for anyone who knows or lives with a person with Asperger Syndrome. It is easy to read and truly makes understanding some of the outward and inner affectations of Aspergers easier for the lay person.
I have shared the book with our school counselor and several teachers who interact daily with students with Aspergers. They have really enjoyed the book.
I recommend this book to everyone.
Book Review: Cute, but not the original

Although cute, this book takes a back seat to the original, titled: "My Kitty Catsberger," and published in January of 2006 through the Asperger Syndrome Institute. The latter, written by Dr. John M. Ortiz, the director and founder of the A.S.I. and illustrated by Don McGrath (Disney, Saturday Night Live) is a delightful, imaginative and empowering book sure to delight "children" of all ages. Unlike "Cats," "My Kitty Catsberger" succeeds in educating while entertaining by illustrating how Aspies are as endearing as their quirky feline counterparts.
