Book Review: NOT Alzheimer's in my book.

I'm sorry to say, but I do not think Dr. Richard Taylor has Alzheimer's Disease. He goes against anything and everything I've seen in almost twenty years being around Alzheimer's victims. I was a caregiver for fourteen years and saw the beginnings of this horrific disease start. Dr. Taylor is very different from the person I cared for. I have also watched his videos' and he does not have that look. The Alzheimer's look. Those with Alzheimer's have a certain look, a no expression look. He laughs in his video, and does not search for words as others with this disease. For him the words come easy.
Facilitating an Alzheimer's support group for four years, I got a chance to meet the caregivers loved ones with Alzheimer's. I also helped open an Adult Day Care where I met others with beginning dementia. Then I worked in an Assisted Living facility and became even for familiar with beginning stages of Alzheimer's.
Don't get me wrong Dr. Taylor has done a wonderful job writing this book, but I `do' think he was misdiagnosed, which happens a lot. People spend their lives in nursing homes with the label, `Alzheimer's' when instead they have fluid on the brain, a vitamin B12 deficiency, or even alcoholic dementia. There are so many different forms of dementia, and some curable.
Sorry I can not recommend this book.
