Book Review: What happened to the Golden Rule?

I just finished reading this book to my 4 yr old. This is the 2nd time I have run across a picture book with a homosexual theme. I am appalled that adults feel that this subject is appropriate to bring up to such a young audience. I have heard the argument made that it teaches them about tolerance, diversity, and how to show respect for those who are different. What happened to the Golden Rule? I guarantee you that children can be taught to show love and respect for all people no matter what their beliefs, race or sexual orientation. With this said I do not agree with a homosexual lifestyle and have taught my older children this. I have also taught my older children that we treat every human being with respect, just as we would want to be treated. I am very disturbed with adults trying to justify their inappropriate behavior by shoving homosexual propaganda to young children. If you chose a homosexual lifestyle then it is your responsibility for explaining it to any children you may adopt. To teach the principle of love and respect, without the propaganda, I would recommend a book called "The Golden Rule" by Ilene Cooper.
