No, for reals--this book is anti-union propaganda.
You see, the strike makes a little girl very upset. And her being sad spurs the animals into a realization that "they actually like what they do." And so, like magic--no more strike!
The animals' complaints about their workplace (and living quarters!), meanwhile, are simply dismissed. After all they made a little girl cry!
Couple this with the fact that there is no intelligence whatsoever to be found in the writing or the artwork, and it all leads to a very clear recommendation that you should take a pass on this book.
