Book Reviews of Animals on the Other SideBook Review: Animals On the Other Side Summary: 1 Stars
I have always been a fan of Sylvia Browne and have most of her books. I am rather disappointed in the deception in the promotion of this book. I have seen numerous plugs on the Montel Williams show about the forthcoming book. Never once did anyone say it would be a good read for a 3 year old. This book is obviviously written for children who have lost their pets. I literally read the book in less than 5 minutes. You could condense all topic content in one short paragraph. I have waited for 4 months to read this book since hearing about it and after enduring the loss on my beloved Shih Tzu. I was not expecting to be deceived.
Book Review: Enjoyable, comforting and informative for ALL ages Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for an older child who really enjoyed the main story and the art work, but it is just as appropriate for toddler and adults. Each main picture has a simple story line (for younger children), and a detailed side caption (for adults) that imparts specific information about animals on the other side, such as how the animals get there, how they react once there (happy), where they play, who they play with, and where they can go. I found this to be a very positive, comforting book. It helps kids (and adults) to see how all life continues once the earthly body dies. A great book. A comforting book. An informative book.
Book Review: A little disappointed, but still good Summary: 4 Stars
I am another one of those people who didnt realize this was a childrens book. It only took me 10 min to read the whole thing. Its mostly drawings, with a small paragraph, every other page, and there arent many pages. I have several books Sylvia wrote and love them, and I think this book is another good one of hers, but I wanted a book with more information. If you already have read several of Sylvia's books, it doesnt really say any more than shes already said before. I would recomend this book for someone who has lost a pet, or know somebody who has lost a pet, especially a child. I think it would be very comforting.
Book Review: Greatful Summary: 5 Stars
My Onyx passed suddenly on 02/08/06. I had so many questions as to why, where is he now, is he happy, does he miss me. I find a lot of comfort reading this. I have no children no kid to read this too. I needed a quick fix not some novel quoting the bible with a thousand pages. I'm not a religious person however I do believe there is something greater beyond what we know. I knew this was a childrens book when I bought it obviously I didn't care. The state I am in now I need comfort and reassurance fast. It's helping me now and reassures me that one day I will be with him and other loved beings I call family.
Book Review: Sylvia Browne is a Saint! Summary: 5 Stars
For all the reviewers who say that Sylvia Browne is talking nonsence & is a criminal, I would just like to say that you obviously don't know of her work or what she teaches & I would like to encourage you to read some of her other books. She is a wonderful spiritual teacher & healer & can help everyone to become more spiritual & be better people & live a happier, healthier life. And to call her a criminal is ludacris! All the proceeds from the sale of this book are going to Montel's MS Fund & to the research of MS to find a cure. Sylvia Browne doesn't pocket a cent from the sale of this book. Thank you.
