Book Reviews of AnthemBook Review: A classic in the Genre Summary: 5 Stars
This was, in my mind, a picture of things to come. Ayn Rand saw the broken future of political correctness in the "We" and loss of freedom and individualism.
The Protagonist is triumphant and overcomes, as freedom always will triumph over tyranny. Take that Obama!
Book Review: Ayn Rand Rocks! Summary: 4 Stars
It's all about individuality. I've read "Anthem" again and again, and always, through it, acquire renewed strength of purpose. If you view life with a sense of detachment you'll enjoy these 59 pages. The last few pages, however, seem to drift from the central theme.
Book Review: Wonderful! Summary: 5 Stars
At once so familiar and so strange, Ayn Rand's Anthem is a phenomenal experience. She exalts the joy of man and individuality, and impresses upon the reader not only the importance of thought and scholarship, but the importance of original thought, and of self.
Book Review: Great primer if you are looking to read more Rand. Summary: 4 Stars
This is actually a pretty quick read and compared to her other work it's pretty strait forward. It's perfect for people who want to start reading Rand but don't want to jump feet first into Atlas Shrugged. It's also good for younger readers.
Book Review: Come on, it's Ayn Rand Summary: 2 Stars
The lack of individuality in the depicted society makes for a dull story told with a limited vocabulary, and Ayn Rand's ridiculous, individualistic, self-indulgent philosophy makes the ending of the book not even worth the short 66 page read.
