Book Reviews of Astronomy Hacks: Tips and Tools for Observing the Night Sky

Book Review: Astronomy Hacks: bad title for a great book
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a very useful book for both beginner and Intermediate amateur astronomer. I wish this had come out several years ago as i have purchased eyepieces that i would not have bought if i had 1st read this book. (Ie redundancy).
Wonderful chapters ("Hacks") on all aspects of amateur astronomy. My only critism is the authors Dob bias (I am a refractor guy), and their unreasonable bias againts Canon Stabilized binocs.
Otherwise-excellent!!!

Book Review: The astronomy book I was looking for
Summary: 5 Stars

I really enjoyed this book. Where other Astronomy books focus exclusively on the hardware, or on the heavens, this book covers a wider range of topics. From telescope tricks, to how to meet up with astronomy buffs, to what to drink (or not drink) on your viewing nights. While the other books are helpful to teach the theory, this book is the glue that binds the night sky theory with the telescope in the back of the car on a mountain side reality.

Book Review: All the questions you were afraid to ask.
Summary: 5 Stars

Entering such a esoteric or eclectic hobby as astronomy is daunting. We are expected to already know common facts. Sadly beginners don't. Perhaps this is why there is such a large drop-out rate of budding astronomers. We are afraid to ask basic questions, let alone complex ones. This book is such a god-send. It captivates the reader and imparts such enthusiasm that it encourages all to be involved with watching what we are made of.

Book Review: Excellent Book
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of the best books a new or experienced amateur astronomer could add to their library. It thoroughly covers virtually all topics of interest in a way that is both entertaining and enlightening. A great book -- I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to others, regardless of your level of experience.

Book Review: This book is moneysaving guide for beginners.
Summary: 5 Stars

It explains practical and physical aspects to your needs. This book provides guidance to reasonable and budgeted astronomy. It explains in step-by-step approach how to start and where to go, and what to expect from next step practically and financially. It does a great deal of guidance to urban beginners.
