Book Review: Not as good as the first 2 in the series

In Back on Blossom Street Lydia starts another knitting class, this time for a prayer shawl. Colette's storyline is a little annoying and contrived. I didn't really like it and it made me not like her so much. I get why the story was written as it was, but it really is just a very tired story.
Alix's story was probably the best. She is engaged to Jordan and dealing with a lot of pre-wedding jitters. For anyone who has planned a wedding, it makes quite a bit of sense. It is a little over dramatic, though.
Margaret and Lydia's story was another annoying one. Margaret's daughter, Julia, is carjacked and Margaret becomes obsessed with finding the perpetrator. Way over-the-top here. Plus, since Margaret isn't a point-of-view character, the reader never really gets to understand her feelings--just how Lydia sees them.
Overall, I was disappointed with this book. I was happy to keep following along with the Blossom Street characters, but this was a dip in the series for me. I'm hoping the next one, Twenty Wishes (Blossom Street), is much better.

Blossom Street where you'll find everything you're looking for! From yarn and flowers to friendshipÂ?There's a new shop on Seattle's Blossom Street a flower store called Susannah's Garden, right next door to A Good Yarn. Susannah Nelson, the owner, has just hired an assistant named Colette Blake, a young widow who's obviously hiding a secret or two.
When Susannah and Colette both join Lydia Goetz's new knitting class, they discover that Lydia and her sister, Margaret, have worries of their own. Margaret's daughter, Julia, is the victim of a random carjacking, and the entire family is thrown into emotional chaos.
Then there's Alix Townsend, whose wedding is only months away. She's not sure she can go through with it, though. A reception at the country club, with hundreds of guests she's never met it's just not Alix. But, like everyone else in Lydia's knitting class, she knows there's a solution to every problemÂ? and that another woman can usually help you find it!
