Book Reviews of Barefoot: A NovelBook Review: Summer light not great Summary: 3 Stars
Elin Hildebrand is a wonderful author and I have enjoyed many of her books. This is readable, but not my favorite. I did not connect with the characters or really care about them. I think the Blue Bistro or Summer People are much better novels with real characterization. If you want a quick beach read this is it. Just not something to savor or remember.
Book Review: Excellent Read Summary: 5 Stars
This is the first Elin Hilderbrand that I have read and I could not put it down. I loved it. No need for me to go into the plot as other reviewers have already clued you in to the basics of the book. I intend to buy all of her other books and hope she writes more and soon.
Book Review: Waste of time Summary: 1 Stars
I literallly threw this book in the trash after wasting time reading 100 pages of it. I kept hoping that it would eventually become a worthwhile read. No such luck. The book is total fluff. Read something of value - not this! I suggest "The Long Walk Home" instead.
Book Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
This was mt first Elin Hilderbrand novel, and I was plesantly surprised! I found myself really caring about the characters, and not wanting the book to end. The characters are all beleivable, and Elin portrays real human emotions...I will read all of her books.
Book Review: Great Book Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great story about friendship and life. It's about the things we keep to ourselves and the things we share with our friends. The characters are well developed and real. The description of Nantucket is so detailed, I feel like I was there.
