Book Review: Great if you think shades of grey are for wimps or liberals.
Summary: 3 Stars
My dad made so much more sense to me after I had boys (I grew up with sisters). And now I know how he wants things to work: like they do in this book. This book is great if you like your bad guys really bad and a little stupid, your liberals easily identifiable by their obnoxious inanity (and poor fashion sense), and your women hot, smart, and attracted to military men. The other women are all liberals (see previous). The good guys are easy to find because they are a)men, and b)introduced with height, weight, exercise regimen, and outfit (as in which Brooks Brothers rack-just kidding). Mostly I got the impression that the author wanted, just once, to show everybody how it ought to be done. There's something to that-the media has a power it wants to keep but not admit to, Christians are not all crazy, there is nothing wrong with an America who will defend herself. It's just that the solutions to the problems the world faces are not what they were 30 years ago, and the problems are complex. The Cold War was dangerous time that many Americans today do not appreciate, but in many ways was far simpler than the intricate interplay of economics, religion, and politics we currently face. This was an entertaining book. I just don't believe the issues addressed can be resolved the way they are in it.
