I decided I wanted to breastfeed my child when she was born, so I thought I would get a bit of information. My mother gave me some advice, my mother-in-law gave me some advice and a few friends gave me their insight. I found this book to be redundant and not any more informative than my mother's advice. Given, she is a maternal and child health care worker, but still, I expected more from this book. I only picked it up once or twice. I suffered from mastitis, and my daughter developed some late 'nipple confusion', and the book didn't give me any new help, that my mom couldn't give me. I would honestly choose Kathleen Huggins' book next time.
