I bought this book for my 8 year old grandson who shows an interest in cooking. He loves it and has cooked crispy chicken strips, etc. for a family dinner with purple cow milkshake for dessert. Also a cheesecake, with the help of his Dad, for his Mother's birthday.

I bought this book for my 11 year old niece who is just starting to discover the world of cooking. She absolutely loves it and so does her mom. This is a great introductory book for a tween who is excited about trying new things when it comes to cooking.

Book Review: Basic but Not a Complete Waste Summary: 3 Stars
I had some version of this book when I was 9 and I loved it then! It taught me basic techniques, and some recipes. I think that this book would be helpful for kids who know very little about cooking.
