Book Reviews of Bistro CookingBook Review: If I can cook yummy French food, you can too. Summary: 5 Stars
I have several of Ms. Wells cookbooks, she and Richard Olney and Patience Gray helped me leave hamburger helper behind. This cookbook has some of the best side dish recipes I've found anywhere, and as I was checking it out from the Library for the umpteenth time, I realized it was time to buy it.
Book Review: Everything that I have ever cooked from this book is great!! Summary: 5 Stars
Out of a library of over 50 cookbooks, this is my favorite, I go back to it time and again, for its pastry, for its wonderful potatoes, for the ways to cook meat, everything. It never fails. Its name is appropriate: Just the level of cooking of an inventive but not over-the-top Parisian bistro.
Book Review: Bon Appetit! Summary: 5 Stars
This has become my new favorite cookbook! I am impressed with every recipe I have made. The recipes are simple, delicious, and truly French. I strongly recommend the Gruyere Cheese Puffs and the red potato salad. I fully recommend you buy this book for recipes for casual and formal dinners.
Book Review: bistro cooking Summary: 5 Stars
This book is a classic of simple French Soul Food recipes. So far I've tried about one third of the recipes without a disappointment. And not a single trip the local botique market for pricey, exotic ingredients. The descriptions of how Patricia found these gems adds further warm and fuzzies.
Book Review: Great! Summary: 5 Stars
I love the recipes in this book. The first one I tried (Cheese puffs) have been in demand in my house ever since. This book is a nice introduction into French cooking without being overwhelming. It's comfortable and down to earth... plus, the food has been delicious.
