Delivery was earlier than expected and packaging was excellent. I had long been looking for a book that lists prices that private sellers (and buyers) could expect. This 2,272 page book is incredible!! Even the most obscure firearms were listed alphabetically by Manufacturers' Name. There is also an excellent grading section titled "Firearms Grading Made Easy". I had heard of the Blue book of Gun Values for several years but had not had an opportunity to look at it. I was very surprised at the detail and at the photo rating system. It was very hand in valuing some firearms I was trying to sell. For anyone who is interested in selling or buying firearms this book is a must for giving you a guide as to their value. I had several uncommon British pieces and I found almost all of the ones I was trying to sell. Highly recommended, my only regret is my own timing that I had to buy last years edition when in 3 more weeks the newest one would be available.Book Review: With over 2,000 pages of accurate information and updated values

Chapters arranged by firearm brand offer overviews of the makers, models, latest values by grading and descriptions of add-ons to values. A powerful survey, recommended as a basic reference for any library strong in either collectibles in general or firearms in particular.

I recently went to a major gun show and inquired with several dealers what they consistently use to get an accurate value on their collections. They all used the "blue book" first...other books help since most of them have great pictures but the Blue Book is most accurate. I sold a handgun from WWII and I received almost exactly what the book estimated it to be worth. I , like others, really would like to have pictures of the items along with the other material !Book Review: Excellent book...except

I purchased this book for my brother for his birthday. He said (as I was aware of) this book is exceptional and the go-to guide for gun buyers & sellers. The only problem is that since President Bush has left office gun sales have skyrocketed causing prices to drastically increase above even the most updated listings. Otherwise,this is an outstanding source of information.
