Book Review: My Kid Loves This Book

My son, who will soon be 3, has read this book with me so many times that he "reads" it by himself now. When he was a year old, the "oops" at the end of every page was one of his first and favorite words. This is a wonderful book for the pre-reader, because the repetition of simple words and colors really helps kids learn. And my son really responds to the humor and silliness of the book. I think Sandra Boynton is his favorite author, we read at least one of her books every night. They're awesome!Book Review: Short and funny

My 15 months old son is, since last week, asking me to read to him. I've read to him since he was 8 weeks and now is paying off!His very favorites from Sandra Boynton are The Going to Bed Book, and Moo, Baa, Lalala, but today I read this book to him and he started laughing at the 3rd page, then there was no one to stop him, and I had to read the book about 6 times before he got enough of it. Everytime I read it he would just laugh and laugh. I think this book is going to become his favorite now!Book Review: mom thinks it's silly but toddler LOVES

I have to admit, I really didn't think my kiddo would go for this book. We checked it out from the library and when I started to read it I thought there would be absolutely no response. Boy was I wrong! Everytime I got to the turkey wearing the wrong thing and said "OOPS!" she burst into giggles. My little one doesn't laugh easily, so I ran out and bought the book for our own at-home library. Not my favorite Boyton book, but it makes my 15 month old laugh, so we read it everyday.Book Review: My 3 year old's favorite Boynton book

We lost this book one day for a few hours and we had to tear up the house looking for it. The reason my daughter loves this book so much is because it is very easy for her to read to herself. Predictable books like this are terrific for little ones who are pre reading . She loves to read this book on her own and says OOOPS. I even love this book. It's darn funny! By far our favorite Boynton book and a fabulous way to get kids to a point where they feel like they can read too!Book Review: My 4 year old spelled her first word while reading this book!

My daughter has loved this book from day one, as the silly rooster putting its clothes on wrong sends her into fits of laughter. She memorized the book, and was reading it to us the other night, and when she got to the word "hat", she spelled it out! It's the first time she ever spelled a word! She also spelled out "oops" on every page! This book has held her interest, helped her practice her colors, encouraged her to read and helped her spell her first word -- a true winner!
