Book Reviews of Blue Hat, Green Hat (Boynton on Board)Book Review: 15-month old giggled like mad! Summary: 5 Stars
Since my daughter absolutely adores a couple other Sandra Boynton books (especially "Moo, Baa, La La La," "Hippos go Berserk," and "The Bedtime Book"), we were at the bookstore and I read this to her to see if she'd like it. "Like" is not the word...I couldn't believe the giggles coming out of her! With every "Oops" she belly laughed with delight, and continues to do so each time we read it. I recommend it, especially if your kiddo is a fan of other Sandra Boynton picks.
Book Review: Great early toddlerhood book Summary: 5 Stars
We have a bunch of Sandra Boynton books, and this one is definitely my daughter's favorite. She pretends to read it, and it was pretty useful when she was learning colors. She started with it early, before she was one, and she still pulls it out quite frequently at a ripe toddler age of 22 months. I like the way when she says, Oops! pointing to turkey, and she always thinks that that turkey got stuck in the picture when he wears his pants on his head.
Book Review: Easy Reading for Pre-Readers Summary: 5 Stars
This is the hands-down all-around favorite of my kids. After two readings, my 3- and 2-year-olds have been reading it to me. Any child who knows the different types of clothing and where they are worn will probably enjoy this book, and if they know their colors they can probably read it to you. I really enjoy seeing my kids sitting together on the couch, one reading to the other, and hearing the chorus of "Oops" and hysterical giggles.
Book Review: if you like to hear your kids laugh... Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book for my 2 year old son because it had such great reviews. During the first reading he was absolutely hysterical with laughter. We read it another dozen or so times, cracking up all the while. My son already knows his colors, so he has fun pointing out the blue hat, green hat, etc. but the "oops" is what gets the laughs. And his laugh is so contageous, we have a great time reading this together. What a simply wonderful book.
Book Review: Awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
This was my all time favorite book to read with my children. The simplicity of the humor in this book is very enjoyable. We love the silly turkey that just can't get it right, and even when he does get it right, gets it wrong. We always referred to this book as the "Oops book." Even if a child has no reading skills whatsoever, they will enjoy "reading" the oops part every 2 pages. I highly reccomend it!
