Book Review: Serves a Great Purpose
Summary: 5 Stars
These books are not completely intriguing, but they are better than any other controlled vocab readers I have come across. First, they are small and manageable, so they don't overwhelm the new reader. Second, they are a little funny and have made some attempt at humor with that very small controlled vocab. We own 3 sets, but with my 3 readers, I have not used much of set 2 or 3. Set 1 was invaluable, though. After set one, children are ready to try books that aren't vocab controlled, and enjoy reading. I highly recommend this product.
