I bought this book for my four year old nephew to teach him how to read. It arrived brand new and I love how portable the set is. My nephew has been reading with these books for a month now and he is surpassing his preschool classmates. These books have helped my daughter be a confident beginning reader. The words are very simple and we enjoy laughing at the pictures. She enjoys all the books, and feels very proud when she finishes one. She began with Set 1 at age 4 1/2 and is progressing quickly through Set 2. She'll be in Set 3 very soon.Book Review: I love BOB!

The BOB books are a fantastic series for beginning readers. As an educator I am very impressed with the process and amazed with the results. My daughter read the first series, by herself, before she started Pre-K! If your young child has an interest in reading on his/her own, this is a great place to start!Book Review: Wonderful~

Just a wonderful set of books. Nothing makes my 5 year old prouder than being able to read these books to everyone who comes over to visit. He's turning into a person who loves to read and these books have certainly helped a lot. We call them Magic books because if your child knows his letter sounds they will be able to pick them up and READ!
We started the first set of BOB books pre -K. I did not read the books to my son he read them to me.
If you would like to get a head start on reading the BOB books are the way to go.
