Book Review: Inspiring
Summary: 5 Stars

This book completely revloutionised the way I thought about food, dieting, weight loss and my body. It has inspired me to trust myself and to have a healhty and balanced relationhip with food and a body that I love. I loved Geneen's work so much that I set up my own 'intuitive eating' company in the UK as the only thing that was missing for me after reading this book was support to help me (and the thousands of other women fed up with yoyo dieting our lives away!) put all these new ideas into practise. I am so greateful to Geneen Roth and cannot recommend her books highly enough - all of them!

Book Review: Breaking Free From Emotional Eating
Summary: 5 Stars

As a serial dieter, I was skeptical of anything claiming to help me "break free" from this millstone around my neck. But as I read the book I began to see what a novel approach Ms. Roth has outlined. It is clear, well-defined and, I think, do-able in the long run. It is not a fast fix and I cannot yet testify to its effectiveness, but I am hopeful and look forward to the soul searching and self-discovery that lies ahead. If nothing else, it has calmed me down, taken away a large part of my dispair, and given me a glimpse of possible freedom from my addiction.

Book Review: This book's methods might work for some people...
Summary: 3 Stars

If you suffer from emotional eating, you'll at least learn something that will help you through this book. I recommend it because I have learned valuable things which have helped me and has given me some insight. However, I do not agree with everything she teaches, neither do I think it will work for everyone. I gave this book a 3-star rating because her methods to achieve freedom from emotional eating has NOT worked for me. I still recommend it though. As I said previously, you will at least learn something that will help you. She offers good tips.

Book Review: Making it work for you is the Challenge....

When I realized that I Binged daily, I finally saw that I had a problem with food. My counselor turned me on to Feeding the Hungry Heart, which made me try her Workshop (MP3 format from her direct site). I was finally on the right path, but don't let the easy rules fool you. Learning how to eat again is hard work, with daily challenges, and relapses. I would never have beleived how many others face the challenges I fac everyday. To anyone struggling with Bingeing; I wish you luck, and happy eating, it truly is a lifestyle change.

Book Review: Not for everyone
Summary: 2 Stars

This book had a few new ideas, but overall I found it not very helpful. I tried her suggestion of eating what you want, and found that I was not eating a very balanced diet. Maybe some people naturally gravitate toward a proper diet, but I am not one of them. She basically says over and over if this isn't working for you it is because YOU aren't doing it right, not because this method may not be for everyone. This book might work for you, but don't count on it.
