Book Reviews of Brother Odd (Odd Thomas Novels)Book Review: Great Series! Summary: 5 Stars
I'd given up on Dean Koontz novels until this series was recommended by my sister. I absolutely love all 3 of them. What great characters in the stories, and Odd is my all-time favorite Koontz character.
Is this the end of the series? I'm not sure, but somehow I think it is. If so, it ended with a touch of genius. Trading Elvis for Old Blue Eyes! Hilarious!
Book Review: Hard to read Summary: 2 Stars
I bought these for my brother. I got the first 2 of the Odd Thomas series. He asked me not to send him anymore of these, said they were really hard to read.
When I mentioned that to another friend of mine she said the same thing, she said the concept was great but it was so hard to read it wasn't enjoyable. Oh well...most Dean Koont are sooooo good!
Book Review: Oh brother.... Summary: 1 Stars
Odd Thomas was pretty good. Forever Odd was OK. This book bites. Dull, predictable, a "so what?" ending, no suspense, no surprise, no reason to turn the page at all.
Koontz bloats this book with his religious ranting and simplistic "oh those darling challenged children," and blah-blah blah blah.
This is the last Koontz book I will read.
Book Review: Awesome series!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is some of the best writing I have ever seen from Dean Koontz. It is an incredible series that just keeps getting better and better. Odd himself is absolutely loveable. He is so humble and polite, quirky and witty, and he "sees dead people"! You will laugh, be frightened, and yes, cry. I highly recommend this book and all of the Odd books.
Book Review: Oddly lame Summary: 1 Stars
Not worth the paper its printed on. Quantum claptrap already used in dozens of books.
Really thin on character development and please, can someone smack Thomas out of his whining?
I can't believe I will probably read the next one!! but nothing about dogs! enough of the golden retrievers already... about a Pitt or a Chihuaha?
