Book Reviews of Brown Bear & Friends Board Book Gift SetBook Review: Excellent little set, especially for the price! Summary: 5 Stars
The 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See' book was recommended to me by both my 4 year old daughter's speech therapist and her teacher. In town just this book alone was priced at 7.95. I found the set here on Amazon.com and the price was just too good to pass up! All three of these books are great for helping teach proper sentence structure and pronoun usage with I and you. Brown Bear features colors, Polar Bear works on animal sounds and 'what do you hear?', and Panda Bear is 'what do you see' again with more specific animal names like a green sea turtle and a spider monkey. The art is timeless and the repetitive sentence structure enables your toddler or preschooler to read with you, making them fun as well as educational. While I initially bought this to help with some of my daughter's PDD challenges, since then these books have also been read to my 2 year old and she loves them too! I definitely recommend picking up this set!
Book Review: Great books but a little repetitive Summary: 4 Stars
I think our 18 month old loves to play with the box more than sit with us and read the books. lol. I think it may be a little too repetitive and too many pages when reading more than one of these titles, right after the other, as she gets quickly bored with it and runs off with the box this 3 book set comes in. She may get more interested as she gets older though, when she gains more patience and learns more animals... as she always stops us on the "Cat" page, or "Bird" page, to point and say what they are. Otherwise, a simple, pretty fast read.
She really loves That's Not My Kitten (Usborne Touchy Feely) and That's Not My Bunny: Its Tail Is Too Fluffy (Usborne Touchy Feely) books. Like I said, it may just be her age.
Book Review: Wonders for a two year old! Summary: 4 Stars
If you have a two year old at your house these books are a wonderful addition to your library. Our grandson was entranced by these books, which I enjoyed reading to him. He continues to ask for the "bear" book over and over and will actually sit in my lap for an entire reading. He has also learned more about colors and animals through these little books that he can hold while I read.

Book Review: Great gift for a two-year-old Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this set for my niece's second birthday. Though it may not have been the most exciting present for her to receive/unwrap, her mom told me that it's one of the presents they have gotten the most use out of. My niece has pretty much memorized "Brown Bear" and is now learning some words from the other books as well. Great gift for any little kid!
