Book Reviews of Building Construction IllustratedBook Review: Review of Building Codes Illustrated Textbook Summary: 4 Stars
This book is well illustrated, but a bit slow in reading ... details are given mostly in the text not in the
diagrams. This book is very similar to Construction Materials by Olin, but much thinner. Missing are the many
tables and graphs, and usually relies on simple bar graphs for comparisons among different structural materials.
Overall it is fine but you might want to skip this if you already have similar texts.
Book Review: Very useful Summary: 5 Stars
I got this to help with some of the harder construction code requirements. Handy book to have if you get a building code book and need a bit more explanation. For instance, I was looking at foundations - it illustrated different types of foundation systems, support systems, footings, walls, foundations on different kinds of grades, etc. If you are a visual learner, definitely a must.
Book Review: bad thumbnail Summary: 1 Stars
I thought the book was the 4th edition as the thumbnail( cover illustration). I was made me misunderstood. When i got a book I was so upset because it turned out different edition. I got 2nd edition.
I am so disappoint for buy stuff online. If you are not sure about the cover book's illustration, please write which edition is it.
Book Review: Different edition Summary: 4 Stars
Hi,
I have a previous edition (2nd edition year 1990) so I decide to buy this new edition (4th edition). I've found some new items, I'm so glado for that, but in others few items the previous version is better. I have both books so I can enjoy the benefits of each one. It is highly recommended, even for professionals like me in South America
Book Review: from a students perspective... Summary: 5 Stars
awesome book with everything one could need to get a well rounded idea of how structures are put together. this book was recommended by many of my professors and is especially useful when trying to understand and draw interior and exterior details. it is a must have in any interior designer or architects library!!!
