Book Review: Just what I was looking for

I ordered 4 different camp cook books and this one I like the best. Recipes seem easy enough for camping from the Campers Omelette to Enchilada Pie, and lots of desserts. Even a recipe for backpacking bars in the back of the book that look like they would be a hit. A little history through out the book interesting pictures. Great Camp Book. Wish I had bought this one first.

This is a great Book. I can not say CookBook because it is so much more. It contains stories of hardtimes and greattimes, of good food and friends. The recipes are good too ! And best of all it's at a great price so you can see why I think it's a GREAT Book !!!Book Review: History buffs!

Not what I was expecting. There are some great recipes, but the real appeal of this book is the history. The photos and stories alone make it worth the price. Warning! If you aren't cooking for a large group you'll have to scale down a lot of the recipes.Book Review: Wonderful book!!

If you like cooking & love history this book is for you. Great recipes that can be cooked inside or out in cast iron. Great stories about the forest sevice, I just loved it. Especially the photographs.Book Review: All Mormon

I was disappointed that almost all the photos were of Mormons in Utah or Arizona - This book seems to ignore the many other non-Mormon pioneers and history.
