Book Reviews of Candy Licker: An Urban Erotic TaleBook Review: NOT 5 Stars
Noire, Noire, Noire......you have done it yet again! This book is definitly not for the faint at heart. Noire has the ability to make her readers cringe at the mere thought of some of the grittiest scenes that she creates, blush at the steamy scenes, and long for a man like Knowledge to be by our side! The overall plot is very similar to G-Spot, however the story was nothing like her previous novel. Rarely have I closed a book and thought to my self' "what was going through that author's head", but your imagination and writing skill has lead me to believe that you are in a class of your own! My only critique is that it seemed to move fast, but that could have just been me because I wanted more, more, more. Hats off girl. Keep on doing what you do!
Book Review: The Best Urban Fiction Summary: 5 Stars
I'm not really into reading urban fiction because most of it is hard to absorb due to the poor grammar and plots, but Noire has written two great urban erotic novels that have kept my nose in them for hours. I'm from Jamaica and a lot of what happens in US urban ghettos is unfamiliar to me but I know somebody out there in the world is living this life. I'm just glad it isn't me. Another thing, I hate romances and those who expect happy endings in books so when I saw URBAN on Noire's first book I knew it would be raw and graphic. That's why I bought it. I like how Noire said in Candy Licker: WARNING: This ain't no romance its an urban erotic tale.... oh that's right! There is no Harlequin story in this book and that's why I loved it. Book Review: Not My Type of Erotica Summary: 1 Stars
I understand some readers get turned on about reading about teenage girls having sex with grown men old enough to be their fathers, teens having sex with each other, women having sex with dogs, women having sex with their sisters, and men sticking various objects up a woman's vagina but I do not. This book was okay but all the books by this author seems repetitive. If you want to read real erotica, read Zane. I was more disgusted and disturbed than anything after read this book. The storyline did not make any sense because the girl was more focused on sex than getting out of a bad situation. If this type of stuff is the norm in New York, I will not be traveling there anytime soon or dating any men from New York. Women from New York disgust me.
Book Review: this is not urban erotica Summary: 3 Stars
Like others have said this book is very much similar to G Spot where the main character Candy is stuck in an abusive relationship. This is not urban erotica there is nothing sexy or sweet about the sex scences in the book they are plain old nasty (with the exception of the parts with knowledge and candy). The story kept me hooked and I finished the book in one day, but I really found it very disturbing for the most part. Now I wasn't expecting a sugar coated story, but you kinda get to the point where enough is enough. Even though the story was a bit much it kept your attention. I think Noire can write pretty decent, but I don't think she's worth all the hype. If you want urban erotica read a Zane book if you want sadistic ready Candy Licker.
Book Review: Settin' It Off In '06!! Candy Licker is on Fire!! Summary: 5 Stars
Oh my goodness!! Damn this book was so good!! Noire out did her self on this one. This is the first book I've read this new year and all I can say is it's already one of the best! It is gonnna take one helluva book to make me change my mind. I was so into this story that I could feel Candy's pain. I wanted to jump into the book and put a bullet in Hurricane's skull. He was a dirty, low-down psycho bastard! Candy suffered so much pain mentally and physically, from the beatings and humiliations and the deaths of her Mama, Caramel, Vonnie and Dom. I'm glad Knowledge was around,( we all need a candy licker like him) he saved Candy's life. This story will hook you from the first page, it's that good. I CAN NOT wait until Noire's next novel!
