Book Reviews of CathedralBook Review: A suspenseful read -- get a map. Summary: 4 Stars
A great read, "Cathedral" is a very suspenseful account of how St. Patrick's Cathedral is taken over by terrorists. I sure could have used a map of the building to sort through the many scenes set throughout the Cathedral. After this and "Charm School," I'm encouraged to read more of DeMille's work.
Book Review: A fast paced race to the end of the novel. Summary: 4 Stars
The IRA has taken Saint Patrick's cathedral (NYC)and if their demands aren't met, the place is going to be leveled. If that doesn't sound like the makings of an excellent thriller, I don't know what is! This action packed work of fiction keeps you turning pages. Taken right out of today's headlines, this book is great read
Book Review: a great read Summary: 5 Stars
The author starts out taking you through the streets of Ireland, with tales of IRA terrorism, then leads to the U.S. to St Patricks Cathedral, where a very intense and well made plot to sabotage the church...on St Patricks Day...very well written, with very real characters and steady action
Book Review: Very exciting, but somewhat formulaic. Summary: 4 Stars
This book is absolutely exciting. Even though the premise was unlikely, and the end read like a made-for-TV-movie, I was so wrapped up in the action of this book that I would recommend this book. It would be especially good for long airplane flights, or on the beach. Read and enjoy.
Book Review: IRA Splinter Group Takes Over St. Patrick's Cathedral Summary: 4 Stars
This book was written about 25 years ago but still makes for a most exciting read. Plenty of excitement, quick page turning and suspense. There were a lot of pages, 575, but the author had plenty of time to develop the characters and the plot. Quite a St. Patrick's Day for all involved!
