Book Reviews of Chasing Lincoln's KillerBook Review: Great for young and older Summary: 5 Stars
This book is written for young people-who should find it very appealing. I particularly enjoyed the design of the volume-nicely done. It is of course an account of the Lincln murder and of Booth & company. I am an avid Lincoln student but am no youth. I have to say I really enjoyed the book. So my recommendation is that it is good for all ages! Enjoy!
Book Review: I loved it and my 9th graders did, too. Summary: 5 Stars
I am an English teacher and this is one of the few books I have taught where the students couldn't wait to get started. It did not disappoint them. It is a bit graphic at times, but those and other details really help to transport the reader back to 1865. I highly recommend this for English and even history classes.
Book Review: A nonficiton gem Summary: 4 Stars
This is a wonderful book with lots of fascinating tidbits about Lincoln's assasination and the flight of John Wilkes Booth. The characters and the historical period come alive. Booth, Lincoln and their contemporaries become "real" to the reader, and we can relate to their fears, motivations, and ideologies.
