Book Review: A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

I don't know where to begin except to say that if returning a book were easier, this one would be air borne! An amazingly low number of recipes featuring hard-to-find varities of fruits leaves me frustrated and angry. Average recipes per fruit type: 3 or 4. Pages of editorial on each fruit -- stuff you either know or don't need to --: 4. All in all, Alice Waters betrays the notion of fresh and local.Book Review: A Touchstone Recipe Book

This gorgeous book looks like an art piece, reads like an authority, and has wonderful recipes for the chef. I love this book! Fruits is a book that I pull out to just read about apple varieties with no intention of cooking them! The recipes are divine. I also love the dessert recipes. If you can't get to the restaurant, get the book!Book Review: Well worth the expense

Nice illustrations, very informative, good recipies. Teaches you about when the various fruits are in season, how to prepare them, and what accompaniments are best served alongside each one.
