Book Reviews of Clover 1Book Review: This isn't the real clover book Summary: 1 Stars
Ok this isn't the real clover series. This is extremly different than the orginal series. The orginal is about a girl named Suu her name means four in chinese. Because she is a four leaf clover and has amazing powers. She doesn't meet the cat group or whatever she is locked away in a cage because of the clover project so other governments won't capture her! she doesn't meet some weird guy ! she is introduced to Ryuu Feye Kazuhiko. She doesn't have mechanichal wings sometimes she gets them when she wants to summon them. If you ask me this manga series is pretty battered by the dubbers. So if you want the orignal ,learn japanese and order the manga.Also the orginal has a better story line and they aren't stories they are manga novels.So if you want to know where you can find the better version e-mail me cloversuu879@aol.com ja ne.
Book Review: Clover Summary: 5 Stars
In my opinion, Clover is simply beautiful. The use of heavy contrasts between black and white, and the songs in the book are just beautiful, and the whole story is deep and sad. I would recommend buying 1 and 2 together, as they are a story in themselves. Actually, I bought 4 first, then 3, and finally 1 and 2. Why? Because, 4 is actually the one that happens first, chronologically. 4 is the prequel to 3, and 3 happens before 1. It makes a little more sense to buy it like that, I think. It explains who Ora (Oruha) is before you read 1, so you don't end up wondering. The only thing I can slate it for is the font they used- Times New Roman?! I HATE that font. Also, my colour pages fell out easily.. maybe I shouldnt have stared at them so much ^_^;;
Book Review: Beautiful Summary: 5 Stars
[...]P>Clover is one of my favorite mangas. The art is beautiful and unique, the characters are unforgettable, and the story is intriguing. My cousins got me all of Clover for my birthday, knowing how much I adore CLAMP. I'll admit, the first volume is very confusing the first time you read it. I can see how people may be turned off of the series after reading it. But everything is explained later. The series is so tragic and full of symbolism. It really makes you appreciate your life. This is a wonderful manga, and unless you do not like books that make you think, buy this right away!! CLAMP is a very talented group, and their stories have yet to disappoint me.
Book Review: Just read it. Ok? Summary: 5 Stars
I must first comment that the person who said this is at all edited just wants to play with your mind. I read it three years ago in Japanese and the english is identical and was translated very well. (Picture the child in her room thinking of ways to mess up the world and coming up with that!) Beyond that, Clover plays with the same ideas as Evangelion, only in a very differnt way. There is a lot of plain white and black space, but it's done for effect. I really can't say much but that this is an excelent read for anyone - manga fan or not. It explores the deepest pieces of humanity - what it means to be alive, and what it means to die.
Book Review: Confusing & overly spaced. Summary: 1 Stars
I dislike these types of manga known as RENGA: A long illustrated poem with more free space than art. This is the only CLAMP thing I don't like. This was as confusing as Juline & Planet Ladder. You don't know where or when your going or comming. I think this was illustrated by CLAMP's Mick Nekoi, if she's the one who did Cardcaptor Sakura. This is one of those book that makes me wish the 11 member CLAMP Cluster circle had never split.
