Book Review: A good beginners book

This book is designed for the beginner. It clearly walks you through examples to configure the Asterisk server. If you are familiar with configuring an Asterisk server this book is probably not for you.
The book uses large type so the 370 pages is a little misleading.
Its written as a text book and has a test at the end of each chapter.
Noticed many grammatical errors, for example, "we are created a peer" and "it is also possible too pass channel and..." however its understandable.

You should be able to learn Asterisk in a week with this book. The new version is updated for Asterisk 1.4 and 1.6. There is a new chapter on how to setup Asterisk using freePBX 2.5.Networks, Protocols & API's Books
