Book Reviews of Conspiracy Of FearBook Review: Very detailed and picturesque Summary: 5 Stars
I mentioned 'picturesque' in the review title because the descriptive content easily allows me to visualize the situation. It took little effort for me to develop from the narrative, in my head, a motion picture of the characters and their actions, as well as their interactions with others.
In the few pages of "Conspiracy of Fear" that are available here, E. L. Burton has quickly and efficiently established not only the main characters, but a good part of the plotline as well. There is just enough revealed that causes a desire in the reader to have more, yet enough is still hidden to make you want to read the entire script.
With the story hitting the ground running, we see an executive of an accounting firm suddenly (and apparently without provocation) open fire on those in the office. At this point it would seem to be just another such story. However, we then come to young Jimmy Matthews who, by the reports given, suffers a seizure and does not commit suicide, as did Phillip Nestler. This, combined with the mysterious interaction between Dr. Stone and Sheldon Webb (or should I say the 'late' Sheldon Webb), weaves a mystery that can only draw the reader deeper into a web of intrigue as they delve further into the tale.
Summary of Conspiracy Of FearRipped from today's headlines...Conspiracy of Fear by E. L. Burton is an action-packed conspiracy thriller that grabs you from page one. Medical Examiner Dr. Henry Stone finds himself at the center of an unfolding conspiracy where powerful individuals have set in motion a design to influence the most sacred of documents, the American Constitution. Stone's well ordered life is turned upside down when an ex-CIA operative delivers a cryptic message regarding a recent school shooting with possible connections to random acts of violence that are sweeping the country. Stone begins to consider that these random shooters are unwittingly manipulated into committing these acts and may well be victims themselves. At the center of this intricate plot is Pierce Thornhill, founder of a Pharmaceutical empire. Haunted by the untimely death of his father, Thornhill is determined to liberate America from its love affair with guns. To that end he has released a failed experimental military drug on an unsuspecting public. Thornhill is determined to create a new American revolution based on a Conspiracy of Fear.
