This book is a wonderful "teacher"....the author takes you through step by step on every detail of creating textures....it is my "watercolor bible." It has helped me immensely with golf course paintings.

Have many watercolor books, magazines in an attempt to start my art hobby.
Finally, took a class and the instructor recommended this book. She brought it to class and just working with it and her added a great deal to learning technique.

I have an artist friend and a group of us do painting together. From her training she recommended this as a must have. It is an older book and I was fortunate to find an old copy which was in excellent condition through amazon. Its a keeper!!!Book Review: Great Book!

Love this book. If you are someone who doesn't do well with structured teaching this book is for you. I love the examples and the images are very inspiring. You feel like your peeking into someone's personal journal. Love it!
